Lahore: The Government of Punjab is planning to introduce legislation to ensure the full utilisation of development funds in south Punjab, a news source reported.<\/p>\n

Punjab Finance Minister Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht, speaking at a recent press conference, informed that since 35-percent of the province\u2019s development funds would be allocated to South Punjab in the upcoming budget, their complete utilisation would be ensured through legislation geared towards meeting this end.<\/p>\n

He further said that the South Punjab secretariat would be completed soon.<\/p>\n

The minister also announced the introduction of a new model of public-private partnership (PPP) in the province. This framework would focus on arranging partnerships for development projects, rather than delaying or cancelling them due to the lack of suitable financial resources.<\/p>\n
