Multan: The Punjab Archaeology Department has dispatched a PKR 30 million proposal to the authorities concerned for the conservation and restoration work of the Sufi saint Hazrat Shah Ali Akbar\u2019s mausoleum in Suraj Miani, Multan\u2013a news source reported.<\/p>\n
Archaeology Department Multan In-charge Malik Ghulam Muhammad has said that the saint was a descendent of saint Hazrat Shamsuddin Sabzwari, and his mausoleum was built in 1585. The tomb is located at Suraj Miani, Kabuli Mohallah, in Multan\u2019s suburbs.<\/p>\n
The tomb of Hazrat Ali Akbar is a smaller version of the tomb of Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam, and shares several architectural features with it; including its octagonal plan and three storeys. Its walls have been decorated with brick designs and intricate tile work.<\/p>\n
