Secretary Housing &amp; Works revealed this information to the Senate Standing Committee on Housing &amp; Works. He said that the launch was a joint effort of the federal and provincial governments.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the federal government plans to construct 4,000 houses and apartments in Gwadar. This will be a joint venture with the Balochistan government, which will provide the land for the project. Both governments will sign the agreement of cooperation soon, and the committee will be informed accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>The committee was also briefed about another housing project called Kuchlak. Officials revealed that authorities concerned have proposed to build 1,000 units under this project. However, the Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has approved 2,200 housing units, they added. The officials also said that the government has received 7,500 applications for the membership and ownership of these units, and that allotments will be made soon via a balloting process.
