Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Chaklala Board (RCB) has decided to launch crackdown against owners using residential buildings for commercial purposes after Eid-ul-Fitr, reported a news source. In the first phase of this operation, the board will seal such buildings and later cancel their lease agreements in the second phase.<\/p>\n

In this regard, Rawalpindi Cantonment Board also has a plan in place; it has prepared notices against 125 residential buildings that are being used for commercial purposes. These notices will be served to the owner after Eid-ul-Fitr.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the Chaklala Board has already served notices to the owners of 50 buildings. In addition, it has also marked several other residential buildings being used for commercially as a beauty parlour, massage centre, clinic, property office, showroom, marriage centre or a storage space.<\/p>\n

Once the Cantonment Board and Chaklala Board will serve notices to the building owners under Cantonment Act 1924 Sections 185 and 256, the owners will be given a deadline to terminate the business activities.<\/p>\n
