Abbottabad: Residents of Abbottabad have requested the local administration to prohibit the construction of shops on a football ground and hand the land over to a local committee, a news source reported.<\/p>\n

Abbottabad tehsil nazim<\/em> Ishaque Zakariya recently received a petition carrying over 4,000 signatures for the cause. Similarly, a delegation of Shaoor Foundation urged Abbottabad Deputy Commissioner (DC) Amir Afaq to stop the modification Kunj Football Ground on an immediate basis.<\/p>\n

The delegation, which included lawyers and notables of Kunj and Kehal, informed the DC that the tehsil council had invited bids for construction of shops on the playground\u2019s land.<\/p>\n
