Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has urged the Pakistani populace to declare their assets and benami accounts under the recently introduced Assets Declaration Scheme<\/a> by June 30, a news source reported.<\/p>\n

He said that the amnesty scheme is a chance for the citizens to declare their properties and accounts so that they can be included in the tax bracket. He added that only 1% of the country\u2019s population pays taxes; adding that only a few are carrying the burden of 220 million people.<\/p>\n

He revealed that the authorities concerned are collecting information on Pakistanis who have yet to declare their domestic and offshore properties and accounts.<\/p>\n

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) recently notified the rules for the Assets Declaration Scheme <\/a>in a four-page document, termed the \u2018Assets Declaration (Procedure and Conditions) Rules 2019\u2019.<\/p>\n
