Islamabad: The government has decided to arrest high-net-worth tax evaders (residing in the 10 largest cities of the country) from June 21 onwards, a news source reported.<\/p>\n

This operation will be launched against billionaires residing in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Peshawar, Hyderabad, and Karachi.<\/p>\n

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) recently completed its data-acquisition process<\/a> with regard to the details of assets and accounts of some four million individuals.<\/p>\n

As per reports, the property details of these individuals are now available with the FBR, which has also developed a software in collaboration with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) for tracking down rich tax evaders.<\/p>\n
