Islamabad: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has redesignated Pakistan as a \u2018family station\u2019 for its international staff, a news source reported.<\/p>\n

Read<\/strong>: ADB may offer Pakistan USD 1 bn in budgetary support<\/a><\/p>\n

The regional development institution made the decision to abolish the previously assigned non-family duty station status after conducting an assessment of the country\u2019s security situation in June this year.<\/p>\n

As per reports, the foreign\u00a0officials stationed in Pakistan will now be able to bring their spouses to the country. The institution is expected to release an official notification next month.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the ADB officials have said that the approval of a bailout package from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in July would help improve Pakistan\u2019s global reputation.<\/p>\n
