Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday issued directives for a crackdown against service stations operating without recycling plants, a news source reported.<\/p>\n

LHC Justice Shahid Karim ordered the officials concerned to share a progress report on the implementation of the water commission\u2019s recommendations for conserving groundwater with Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.<\/p>\n

Previously, the Punjab Water Commission had submitted to Justice Karim its recommendations with regard to groundwater conservation.<\/p>\n

Advocate Kamal Haider, the commission\u2019s counsel, requested the court to issue directives for the provision of security to the assistant commissioner, who was recently tasked with launching the crackdown.<\/p>\n
