Rawalpindi: Punjab Wildlife and Parks Director General Suhail Ashraf has announced a three-week deadline for the up-gradation of Lohi Bher Wildlife Park, a news source reported. He has also issued directives for the revival of the lion safari on an immediate basis.<\/p>\n
He said that the Punjab government had already completed its plan for the development of the park, which would commence in a day or two. In the first phase of this plan, the lion safari will be developed and in the next phase the park will be renovated, he added.<\/p>\n
The director general expressed the hope that this project would serve as a \u2018pleasant recreational outlet\u2019 for the residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and would attract a large number of visitors due to its prime location.<\/p>\n
He explained that according to the plan, the road that leads to the park from the Islamabad Expressway will be reconstructed, along with the cages for the lions.
