Islamabad: The government is devising a plan to outsource the airport management system of the country to reputed, private sector firms, a news source reported. With this measure, it aims to improve the condition of international terminals in local airports to encourage increases in investment and tourism<\/a>, and to boost the country\u2019s image.<\/p>\n

Official sources have revealed that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan had earlier asked the Aviation Division to brief him with regard to the particulars of this issue. To bring the condition of existing airports at par with that of the terminals located in similar facilities across the world, the government aims to implement a comprehensive policy, they added. The officials also stated that the government would involve technical experts and other stakeholders in the process.<\/p>\n

An official of the Aviation division said that the plan for outsourcing this system was part of the government\u2019s agenda to innovate and improve the international airports of the country.<\/p>\n
