Islamabad: According to sources, Chinese investors are showing interest in investing up to $1 billion in several sectors in Pakistan, such as agriculture, information technology, textile, automotive, and the telecom industry, among others.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar met a delegation from the city of Chongqing, an industrial centre in China, to discuss investment opportunities for them in the future.<\/p>\n

Bakhtiar guaranteed the complete support of his ministry to facilitate even more economic cooperation between Pakistan and China.<\/p>\n

The minister praised CPEC and the progress both parties have made on the project together, as the project has entered its second phase which will concentrate on socioeconomic development, agricultural and industrial cooperation and Gwadar.<\/p>\n
