Lahore: Lawmakers hailing from the five constituencies of the National Assembly (NA) and the Punjab Assembly (PA) have prepared over 100 development schemes for their respective areas at an estimated cost of PKR 2 billion, a news source reported. Previously, the Punjab government had invited proposals from the lawmakers of NA-120, PP-159, PP-161, PP-169, and PP-170 constituencies.<\/p>\n

The NA-120 constituency of Lahore comprises Abbott Road, Coopar Road, Data Darbar, Mohni Road, Azam Market, Circular Road, Dhobi Ghat, Hall Road, Islam Pura, Kokhar Town, Band Road, Lower Mall, Anar Kali, Mazri Pura, Qasur Pura, Ravi Road, Regal Chowk, Shah Alam Chowk, and Sant Nagar.<\/p>\n

The PP-159 constituency consists of several blocks of Gulberg-III and Model Town, New Shah Jamal Town, Garden Town, Cavalry Ground, Kalma Chowk, Faisal Town, Askari-V, and Gurumangat Road among others. Areas such as Awan Town, Hanjarwal, Marghazar Colony, Johar Town, TAK Society, Canal View, Canal Road, and Multan Road fall under the PP-161 constituency.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the PP-169 constituency comprises Attari Saroba, Dhullu Kalan, Dhullu Khurd, Gajumattah, Kacha, Kamaha, and Youhana Abad, while the PP-170 constitutes Dharam Chand, Chandray, Kahna Kacha, Sadhoki, Wapda Town, Valencia Town, Sadhoki, and some areas of Johar Town.<\/p>\n

The proposed development schemes include rehabilitation of roads, water supply and sewerage, up-gradation of schools, as well as provision of improved healthcare supplies in hospitals and dispensaries. These proposals will be presented to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar for approval.<\/p>\n

In a follow-up to the CM\u2019s orders, Lahore Deputy Commissioner Suleha Saeed will notify the departments concerned to invite tenders for the uplift schemes. The development work on these projects is expected to commence in September.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
