The statement added that the plant would also ensure that clean water flows into the dam from the nearby nullahs during the rainy season.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the civic body also handed over land to IMC for developing wetlands. These wetlands will comprise of trees and bushes so the water coming from the seasonal nullahs gets cleaned naturally.<\/p>\n<p>One site each in Mozah Lakhwal, Muslim Colony, and Noor Pur Shahan has been allotted for the construction of the wetlands.<\/p>\n<p>The authorities concerned are taking measures to build the sewage treatment plant and wetlands to prevent water contamination of water reservoirs. Rawal Dam is one of the major sources of water for Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
