The application will support all business-to-government (B2G) and public-to-government (P2G) tax payments. With the introduction of this application, the government aims to provide the public with easy tax payment solutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong>:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/digital-tax-collection-system-in-the-works.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Digital tax collection system in the works<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Punjab Finance Minister Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht revealed that the application is also going to improve revenue collection through taxes. Chairing a joint meeting of the Finance Department and Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), he revealed that the two authorities were jointly developing the application.<\/p>\n<p>Bakht stated that the application will allow people in Punjab to pay their taxes using three different channels. These include payment via ATM machines, over the counter (OTC) transactions, and mobile banking, he added.<\/p>\n<p>The minister said that the new application will eliminate the need to physically visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/online-property-tax-collection-to-start-from-may-31.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tax collection<\/a> offices in the province. He added that in the first phase, the public will be able to pay 12 different kinds of taxes, including property tax, business registration fees, and Punjab infrastructure development levies.<\/p>\n<p>The application will generate a 17-digit PSID number for the users, which could then be used for paying taxes through the available channels, or by visiting the bank.
