Islamabad: To promote cleanliness in the federal capital and check instances of littering, the local authorities have formed a special committee comprised of the CDA\u2019s Building Control Section Director, Metropolitan Corporation Director Sanitation, and one representative of the district administration \u2013 a news source reported.<\/p>\n

The committee will review the steps taken for ensuring cleanliness in Islamabad, along with specifically seeing to the clearing of drains in the city. The group, as such, has been instructed to begin its work from Tuesday (August 6) onward.<\/p>\n

As per the report, people will now be fined for littering, and particularly for throwing garbage into the city\u2019s drains and sewerage system.<\/p>\n
