Islamabad: The Ministry of Interior has notified the commission tasked with redrafting the Islamabad master plan regarding its additional responsibility of examining the contamination levels of the Korang River, a news source reported. The ministry notified this undertaking on August 3.<\/p>\n

The notification stated that the federal commission would examine existing reports and evaluate information already available on record to finalise their report on the master plan within one month, while also looking into sewerage problems which led to the contamination of the Korang River and suggest possible solutions.<\/p>\n

To facilitate this measure, the Capital Development Authority (CDA), the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), the Planning Commission, and the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency would provide assistance to the commission.<\/p>\n
