Rawalpindi: Witnessing water supply shortage in Khanpur Dam<\/a> due to declining underground water tables, the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has banned the issuance of new water connections in its jurisdiction, a news source reported. To cope with this situation, the RCB has also imposed a water emergency.<\/p>\n

The board has also terminated the issuance of water connections for the projects against which applications for approval of building plans are under consideration.
