Quetta: During a meeting held on Friday, details related to establishing the emergency Rescue Service 1122 under the Public Primary Health Initiative (PPHI) on highways in Balochistan <\/a>were sorted out, a news source reported. The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister (CM) Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Alyani.<\/p>\n

For this purpose, the provincial government has allocated PKR 3.5 billion. The amount will be utisied to establish 25 emergency centres at eight national highways of the province, among other facilities. Trained medical staff will be available at these centres throughout the day and night. The CM informed members of the meeting that training of the first batch of staff was already underway.<\/p>\n

The CM also revealed that the process of establishing rescue centres inside containers has also begun. The containers will be equipped with all the required facilities before the inauguration of these centres. For these facilities, a total 25 fire tenders and 50 ambulances will be purchased initially. The service and relief services from these centres will be made functional by the end of this year.<\/p>\n
