This system will allocate a Sales Tax Registration Number (STRN) within the first few seconds of application submissions.<\/p>\n<p>FBR Member Inland Revenue Policy Dr Hamid Ateeq Sarwar and FBR Member Information Technology Mehmood Aslam addressed a press conference at FBR House on Tuesday, where they announced this development. The new simplified system has been launched to facilitate the public, they added.<\/p>\n<p>The process of getting STRNs requires applicants to possess either a National Tax Number (NTN) or a Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) \u2013 in case of application submissions against the \u2018Individuals\u2019 category.<\/p>\n<p>Taxpayers can submit their<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/fbr-generate-tax-exemption-certificates-using-automated-system.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> sales tax registration applications <\/a>through the FBR\u2019s \u2018IRIS\u2019 e-filing platform or through its mobile application.
