Faisalabad: In pursuance of the \u2018Plant for Pakistan<\/a>\u2019 campaign underway throughout the country, the Faisalabad division recently participated in the drive by planting over 30,000 saplings \u2013 according to a news source. Individuals from both public and private sector organisations participated in this campaign.<\/p>\n

Each official from district administrations and other departments planted two trees. Divisional Commissioner Mehmud Javed Bhatti launched the campaign by planting two saplings at the Gutwala Forest Park, the Municipal Corporation Complex Park of PHA at Samundari road, and the Agriculture University.<\/p>\n

The ceremony was attended by the University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Ashraf, Director General Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Asif Chaudhary, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Wajeeh-ud-Din Ahmad, CO Municipal Corporation Sardar Naseer, Assistant Commissioner Musawar Khan Niazi, Municipal Officer Malik Ashraf, Divisional Sports Officer Tariq Nazir, faculty members, and other officers\/staff were also present at the occasion.<\/p>\n

The participants stressed on the need to pursue the plantation drive with full commitment and lauded the vision behind prime minister\u2019s \u201810 Billion Tree Tsunami\u2019 campaign.
