Peshawar: The district administration of Peshawar has launched a campaign to recover overdue debts from commercial defaulters of dues owed to the Water and Sanitation Service Peshawar<\/a> (WSSP) worth PKR 178.5 million, a news source reported. The defaulters under the radar have failed to pay their dues even after repeated notices sent to them by WSSP.<\/p>\n

The service providers were then forced to contact the district administration for help to recover their money. A team of the WSSP accompanied by the police, under the supervision of additional assistant commissioners of each zone, will carry out the operation in two phases.<\/p>\n

During the first phase, defaulters will be issued notices one last time, ordering them to pay their dues within the next seven days. Failure to do that will lead the teams to pursue them during the second phase during which either the defaulters will be arrested or their properties sealed.<\/p>\n
