Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Shah Farman announced on Thursday that a \u2018Jirga Pakistan Committee\u2019 consisting of 10 members would soon be established to ensure transparency in the execution of development projects<\/a> for the recently merged tribal districts, a news source reported. As per the governor, this committee will act as an advisory panel to the chief minister.<\/p>\n

He expressed his views on the matter while addressing a grand jirga at the Governor House in Peshawar. The jirga discussed steps to be taken to make improvement in education, health, power, and irrigation sectors. Discussions about peace keeping in the tribal districts also took place. The members of the meeting also talked about measures to create employment for the youth in these areas.<\/p>\n

Farman informed the Jirga members that the provincial government had allocated PKR 11 billion for the development of the tribal districts in the current fiscal year. He added that he planned to visit the Mohmand district in the coming week for the inauguration of two grid stations.
