The Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance Dr Hafeez Sheikh chaired the meeting, and discussed the allocation of funds for a large number of projects.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the details of these funds are listed below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PKR 125.184 billion for the 10 Billion Tree Tsunami Programme Phase-I<\/li>\n<li>PKR 78.384 billion for the construction of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Red Line project in Karachi<\/li>\n<li>PKR 16.708 billion for the Karachi Water &amp; Sewerage Services Improvement Project (KWSSIP)<\/li>\n<li>PKR 31.935 billion for the <em>Sehat Sahulat<\/em> Programme<\/li>\n<li>PKR 95 billion for eight major agricultural projects<\/li>\n<li>PKR 154.542 billion for the National Programme for Improvement of Watercourse in Pakistan Phase-II<\/li>\n<li>PKR 46.804 billion for the 500 kV HVDC Transmission System between Tajikistan and Pakistan for the Central Asia-South Asia Transmission Interconnection (CASA-1000) project<\/li>\n<li>PKR 13.103 billion for the Sindh Secondary Education Improvement Programme (SSEIP)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad: At a meeting held on Thursday, the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) approved development projects worth PKR 579 billion across a variety of sectors, according to a news source.
