The civic body plans to complete the work within 45 days. The project is expected <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/lda-allocates-pkr-580-mn-road-rehabilitation.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">to cost PKR 580 million<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong>:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/dg-lda-approves-pkr-290-mn-for-repairing-roads.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DG LDA approves PKR 290 mn for repairing roads<\/a><\/p>\n<p>LDA Director General (DG) Muhammad Usman Muazzam visited several localities in the city to inspect the ongoing work on Sunday. These included the localities of Allama Iqbal Town, Punjab University New Campus Road, Gulberg, and Thokar Niaz Baig junction.<\/p>\n<p>LDA Chief Engineer Mazhar Hussain Khan briefed the official regarding the progress on the rehabilitation work of the roads. He said that the fixing of tuff tiles along the New Campus Road and the construction work on the road leading to Inmol Hospital was in full swing.<\/p>\n<p>In response, the LDA DG instructed the officials concerned to establish a coordination committee, which would comprise of representatives from the relevant departments. These include the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), the Water &amp; Sanitation Agency (WASA), the Parks &amp; Horticulture Authority (PHA), the City Traffic Police, Rescue 1122, and other allied agencies. The officials from these departments would be responsible for supervising the ongoing road-repair projects.<\/p>\n<p>Muazzam also directed the officials concerned to remove the illegal sign boards hindering the smooth flow of traffic at different points of the roads under repair.
