He added that the restoration of the public\u2019s confidence in the FBR was going to help with broadening the tax net.<\/p>\n<p>FBR Chairman Shabbar Zaidi briefed the PM about the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Automation of several FBR processes so that the public did not have to interact with officials<\/li>\n<li>Web portal for accessing financial details that the FBR receives from various institutions<\/li>\n<li>Enhanced effectiveness of online complaint resolution system, for immediate disposal of complaints against FBR officials<\/li>\n<li>\u2018Tax Asaan\u2019 mobile application for facilitating taxpayers<\/li>\n<li>Ease of paying taxes for shopkeepers and retailers<\/li>\n<li>Translation of tax forms into Urdu, and expected launch of FBR\u2019s website in Urdu<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/fbr-announces-export-facilitation-scheme.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u2018Easy Export\u2019 scheme<\/a> for the export sector<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Zaidi also informed PM Imran that FBR teams were visiting the markets to brief people regarding online registration of cell phones brought from abroad, passenger information systems, and the currency declaration system at the airports.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong>:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/fbr-brief-pm-tax-reforms-benami-properties.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FBR to brief PM on tax reforms, benami properties<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Zaidi stated that they were installing scanners at the various custom stations.
