As per officials, the taxation authority has issued these notices under Section 114 of Income Tax Ordinance 2001.<\/p>\n<p>According to the financial details obtained by the FBR, these individuals<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/fbr-to-send-notices-to-100000-non-filers.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0owned luxury properties and other assets\u00a0<\/a>and did not get themselves registered with the authorities during the previous (fiscal year) FY2018-19.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read:\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/fbr-to-send-notices-to-100000-non-filers.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FBR to send notices to 100,000 non-filers<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As per reports, these persons were asked to file their income tax returns (through online services provided by the FBR) for FY2018-19, or face legal action.
