Following the land identification, a high-level demarcation committee was tasked with the boundary identification gig.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan is expected to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/pm-launches-low-cost-nphp-apartment-project-in-islamabad.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">inaugurate the NPHP<\/a> Rawalpindi project in October \u2013 with the construction process scheduled to commence in the same month. As per officials, the development work on the provision of affordable homes in the city is underway.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, PM Imran had directed Rawalpindi Commissioner Saqib Zafar to reclaim the state land from encroachers in the Rawalpindi division. He had instructed the commissioner to submit a report within a month\u2019s time following the demarcation process completion.<\/p>\n<p>He had ordered the commissioner and the secretary revenue to utilise the state land for setting up public welfare projects. In response, the secretary revenue stated that they had partially completed a survey on this front. He added that they had identified encroached land worth PKR 10 billion so far. He stated that they would take serious measures to retrieve this land soon.<\/p>\n<p>Chaudhry stated that the authorities concerned had already recovered about 7,000 kanals of land situated on Chakri Road and 1,000-kanal land in Koth Kalan from illegal occupants.
