Karachi: The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has operationalised its automated one-window cell facility for developers for seeking approvals for their building plans, a news source reported. The authority, further, has ceased all its manual counter operations (previously used for the issuance of these approvals).<\/p>\n

As per officials, the one-window counter was launched on September 21 and the SBCA has lately shifted all the related tasks to this cell. Addressing a conference on Tuesday, SBCA Director General (DG) Zaffar Ahsan said that his office would provide guidance to the public on how to make the best use of the newly operationalised facility.<\/p>\n

At the one-window cell, developers and owners can seek approvals for their residential property smaller than 400 square yard, commercial property spanning up 120 square yards and warehouses not larger than 1,100 square yards.<\/p>\n

As per the standard operating procedures set for the one-window cell, the process to grant approvals for building plans will be completed within 15 days; subjected to provision of the required documents.<\/p>\n
