The same locality has recently been under contention as the civil society joined hands with environmentalists to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/civil-society-demands-measures-to-control-pollution-level-in-hayatabad.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">demand measures for controlling pollution levels<\/a> in the area.<\/p>\n<p>The petitioner\u2019s lawyer, Kamran Qaiser, told the bench that due to complaints from residents steel barriers were put up a few years back but those were damaged due to maintenance issues. Heavy traffic, including container trucks, now use the narrow streets as entry and exit points for the adjacent industrial area.
