The agency took the decision with a view to conserve green areas surrounding the city as well as to act in accordance with<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/pm-for-high-rise-buildings.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan\u2019s instructions<\/a> regarding the prevention of urban sprawl.<\/p>\n<p>The new strategy involves confining the development of housing schemes (under LDA\u2019s jurisdiction) to the boundaries of the Lahore Ring Road \u2013 to curtail the growth of illegal projects.
