Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa\u2019s (KP) Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Technology Kamran Khan Bangash stated that KP will become the digital heart of the country soon, according to a news source. He made this comment while addressing the first graduation ceremony of the National Incubation Centre (NIC) on Thursday in Peshawar.<\/p>\n

He added that NIC Peshawar was playing an important role in promoting start-up culture<\/a> in the region, and supporting its ecosystem. According to the statistics provided by the centre, it created 470 direct and 1,900 indirect jobs, with over PKR 192 million in funds raised for investment. These start-ups also managed to raise their revenue to an impressive PKR 120 million.<\/p>\n

The chief guest of this graduation ceremony was Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. He lauded the progress made by NIC Peshawar, and appreciated the efforts of KP\u2019s youth in presenting these innovative ideas across a number of fields.<\/p>\n
