Multan: Multan\u2019s revival project will be allocated funds worth PKR 251 million for a variety of enterprises, according to a news source. Punjab Parliamentary Secretary on Information and Culture Nadeem Qureshi instructed the relevant authorities to continue work on the Walled City Project (WCP), the purpose of which is the revival of the historical monuments<\/a> in Multan.<\/p>\n

Secretary Qureshi jointly chaired the first meeting of the WCP Steering Committee with Deputy Commissioner Amir Khattak, who is serving as project director. Qureshi stated that the revival project would cost PKR 251 million, and would restore the glory of the city of saints.<\/p>\n

Two parts of this project have already been completed; the conservation of Haram Gate and the renovation of Musafir Khana near Darbar Musa Khan Shaheed. Moreover, PKR 86 million will be allocated for the conservation and renovation of 87 shops in Sarafa Bazaar, Punjab\u2019s second-largest market, and for the revival of the historic Pak Gate.<\/p>\n
