Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar on Monday gave his approval to a proposal to re-title patwaris<\/em> as \u2018Village Officers\u2019 by promoting them to grade-14, a news source reported. As per the publication, the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) will induct the said officials to their new posts and provide them six months of compulsory training as preparation for their revised roles. Previously, the government had announced changing the title<\/a> to Revenue Assistants.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the meeting reviewed a proposal to change the post of Land Record Officer to Naib-Tehsildar, and Assistant Director Land Record to Tehsildar. The structure for the promotion of the Punjab Land Record Authority’s staff was formulated as well.<\/p>\n
