At present, the population of the city has exceeded 5.5 million.<\/p>\n<p>The feasibility report for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/tors-finalised-for-rawalpindi-master-plan-2040.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">masterplan<\/a> is important as it will determine population stats for next 25-years and basic amenities (like education, healthcare, road infrastructure, sewerage, transport, electricity, colleges) required by the citizens.
