Rawalpindi: The City Police Officer (CPO) Faisal Rana expressed his resolve that the Safe City project <\/a>\u2014 currently underway in the city of Rawalpindi \u2014 will be completed in the stipulated time, according to news sources.<\/p>\n

He revealed that modern technology and tools would be used to facilitate law enforcement departments in controlling the crime rate, and to ensure that the investigative processes are more efficient.<\/p>\n

He further stated that the police would also coordinate with chamber and trade associations in order to install security cameras in the marketplaces, which could then be monitored to prevent illegal activities. He added that if the chamber of commerce had any suggestions to enhance safety measures within the city, then they were welcome to share them with the Police department.<\/p>\n

The CPO made these statements while speaking with a delegation of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI). In response, the RCCI president lauded the department\u2019s performance in tracking down cases involving theft.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the RCCI delegation suggested that all security footage that the police have access to, should be closely monitored, while security guards should receive basic training.
