Mansehra: A World Bank (WB) team on Friday conducted a site-visit to the 4,300 megawatts (MW) Dasu hydropower project to inspect its developmental progress, a news source reported. As per officials, the delegation inspected the dam\u2019s central tunnel and expressed satisfaction on the work completed so far. This visit took place after the Executive Committee on National Economic Council approved of a higher price<\/a>\u00a0for the land acquired\u00a0for the project.<\/p>\n

The WB officials also met with the district administration of the area as well as some locals. They were briefed on the land-acquisition process during their meeting with the area\u2019s Deputy Commissioner Arif Khan Yousafzai. He stated that the project would facilitate further development in the region and improve power situation.<\/p>\n

A committee representing land providers for the project also met with the WB team.
