Karachi: Mayor Wasim Akhtar recently stated that the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) would provide alternate business spaces to tenants of the municipal administration whose shops were demolished during the anti-encroachment drive<\/a>, according to news sources.<\/p>\n

He was speaking to a delegation of the Lighthouse Traders Association headed by its president Hakeem Shah. The mayor added that the KMC would offer help to these traders to resume their business activity.<\/p>\n

The step would also facilitate the shop owners of Lighthouse Lunda Bazaar (flea market). The mayor said that a team of KMC officers and members of Lighthouse Traders Association would conduct a joint survey of different areas and provide traders with alternative places for conducting their business activity.<\/p>\n
