Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced its decision to check the expansion of katchi abadis<\/em> (slums) in Islamabad<\/a>, according to news sources. To facilitate this measure, the civic agency has constituted special \u2018vigilance teams\u2019 to monitor the existing structures and demolish any new additions.<\/p>\n

The Enforcement Directorate staff, in this regard, conducted an operation in Sector G-8 and eliminated an illegally-developed boundary wall. Previously, the authority had identified the said structure. Further, it confiscated a truck of carrying building blocks and shifted the vehicle to the CDA store.<\/p>\n
