Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has made the decision to increase the fees applicable on property transfers, a news source reported. As per the publication, this decision was taken unanimously in the authority\u2019s 44th<\/sup> board meeting held last week.<\/p>\n

The final approval for increasing the transfer rates<\/a> will be granted in the RDA\u2019s next board meeting. Reportedly, this decision is a direct result of the financial crunch that the department is currently facing due to the absence of a new bailout package. Initially, the authority had to approve the rise in transfer fee with approval of the Government of Punjab but later decided to follow the pattern established by development authorities based in other cities.<\/p>\n
