{"id":58291,"date":"2019-12-04T11:53:31","date_gmt":"2019-12-04T06:53:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/blog\/?p=58291"},"modified":"2020-12-13T15:56:19","modified_gmt":"2020-12-13T10:56:19","slug":"malir-expressway-seven-months","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/malir-expressway-seven-months.html","title":{"rendered":"Work on Malir Expressway M-7 to start next year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed the authorities concerned to appoint a Project Director for the Malir Expressway M-7 initiative \u2013 to be tasked with ensuring its launch within the next seven months, a news source reported.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong>:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/brt-yellow-blue-line-malir-expressway-approved.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BRT Yellow, Blue Line &amp; Malir Expressway approved<\/a><\/p>\n<p>He gave the orders in a meeting convened to review development projects expecting launch on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode. The officials concerned briefed the CM regarding the Lyari Expressway project, expected to be completed at a cost of PKR 30 billion within two years.<\/p>\n<p>Shah instructed the Board of Revenue to issue the notification for Right of Way (ROW) for the Malir River bed. Additionally, he directed his Advisor on Law to seek the Supreme Court (SC)\u2019s permission on lifting sand from this river bed. The aim of the project is to increase the capacity of the system\u2019s filter plant.
