In addition, other changes will also be made to the rules enacted under the act, where needed.<\/p>\n<p>Read:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/excise-and-taxation-department-to-seal-properties-of-tax-defaulters.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Excise and taxation department to seal properties of tax defaulters<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Previously the excise officials had permission to seal the properties of defaulters of property tax; however, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/forum\/answers\/laws_and_regulations\/sealing_properties_of_property_tax_defaulters-32676.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lahore High Court had declared <\/a>the act of sealing as an ultra-vires act.
