{"id":58508,"date":"2019-12-09T17:57:43","date_gmt":"2019-12-09T12:57:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/blog\/?p=58508"},"modified":"2019-12-10T12:15:49","modified_gmt":"2019-12-10T07:15:49","slug":"sez-gas-supply-cost-estimates-shared-with-govt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/sez-gas-supply-cost-estimates-shared-with-govt.html","title":{"rendered":"SEZ gas supply cost estimates shared with govt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad: The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL) and the Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd (SSGCL) have shared their respective cost estimates pertaining to the installation of a gas pipeline network in the Special Economic Zones (SEZs) \u2014being established under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project framework \u2014 with the government, according to a news source.<\/p>\n<p>Read:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/govt-planning-break-ground-three-sezs-within-current-tax-year.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Govt planning to break ground on three SEZs within current tax year<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The funds required to develop the infrastructure and to provide gas supply to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/groundbreaking-rashakai-economic-zone-expected-next-month.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rashakai SEZ<\/a> in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/sindh-govt-to-energise-dhabeji-sez-using-wind-power.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dhabeji SEZ<\/a> in Thatta, Sindh, have been estimated at PKR 6.6 billion. In order to expedite the development of these SEZs, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan had previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/pm-directs-quick-establishment-sezs.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">directed <\/a>the departments concerned to ensure the provision of utility services to the said SEZs on a priority basis.<\/p>\n<p>Read:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/govt-revise-incentives-sezs-under-cpec.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Govt to revise incentives for SEZs under CPEC<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The cost estimates for laying gas supply network for other SEZs will be shared once the government finalises its development plans with regard to these economic zones.
