Quetta: Chief Minister’s Focal Person for Information and Media Muhammad Azeem Kakar announced that the provincial government had initiated developmental projects regarding the rehabilitation of various roads in Quetta \u2014 with the task expected to be completed within one year, a news source reported.<\/p>\n

As per the publication, these rehabilitation projects are going to be developed concurrently with the ongoing expansion work being conducted at various roads in the city, including the Aspani Road, Airport Road and Joint Road.<\/p>\n

According to Kakar, the land required for the expansion of the aforementioned roads has already been procured and the government offered competitive market prices for the properties in question. Under the development plan, the provincial government will link major road avenues and highways with other road links in the city.<\/p>\n

At the moment, rehabilitation and expansion work is being carried out on 23 roads in the city, while the tender for the construction and expansion of Nawa Killi Road has been approved. Kakar also revealed that development work to expand Joint Road and Airport Road has been completed, while development work at the second phase of Aspani Road is in final stages of completion.<\/p>\n
