Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Authority (KPHA) and the Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation (PHAF) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the development of a low-cost housing project in the city \u2014 under the auspices of the Prime Minister Naya Pakistan Housing Programme<\/a> (NPHP), according to a news source.<\/p>\n

The signing ceremony for the MOU took place at the KP Chief Minister (CM)\u2019s Secretariat, on December 11. The cost of the project is estimated to be PKR 97 billion and it is expected to be developed on 8,500 kanals of land, on Kohat Road in Surizai area, located to the south of Peshawar. As per the details shared by the CM\u2019s office, the project is anticipated to be completed within three years of its official launch. Under the agreement, PHAF will construct grey structures of approximately 15,500 houses of various sizes.<\/p>\n
