The meeting was chaired by Commissioner (r) Captain Mohammad Mehmood and discussed this project among Leh Expressway, Rawalpindi Ring Road, Daducha and Chahan dams projects. The development work on the Rawalpindi Institute of Urology (RIU) was also reviewed.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was informed that the RDA had included the remodeling of Ammar Chowk in the government\u2019s project as part of the intercity \u2018Mono Train\u2019 service; expected to run along the Leh Expressway.<\/p>\n<p>The senior RDA officials also informed the meeting that the Ammar Chowk remodeling plan was approved by the Punjab Planning and Development Department (P&amp;D), but will now need to be revised to complement the Mono Train project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read:\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/leh-expressway-feature-circular-rail-track.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Leh Expressway to feature circular rail track<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The provincial government has decided that the expressway will culminate at Kattarian near I J Principal Road and connect with the 9th Avenue. Both <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/nespak-to-determine-leh-expressways-ppp-developmental-feasibility.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nespak <\/a>and a Chinese firm will conduct a feasibility study on the Mono Train project.<\/p>\n<p>CDA and RDA teams will meet in a few days to discuss the plan and sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The train service will lower traffic congestion.<\/p>\n<p>Commissioner Mehmood has also directed the RRR consultant to submit the first draft of the PC-I to him by the end of February 2020.
