Islamabad: Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) President Jin Liqun expressed his interest in providing funds for a number of development projects within Pakistan, a news source reported. As per the publication, the AIIB president revealed this information during a meeting with senior officials from the Government of Pakistan.<\/p>\n

President Liqun met with Minister of Economic Affairs Division Hammad Azhar and, in an official statement released after their meeting, stated that the bank was fully committed to supporting the socioeconomic development of Pakistan \u2014 in line with the priorities of the local government.<\/p>\n

The purpose behind the AIIB delegation\u2019s visit to Pakistan is to understand the country\u2019s developmental needs and priorities.
