Lahore: The Rotaract Club (a local effort of Rotary International) and the Baamsar Club have established the first-of-its-kind library installation in Gwadar, a news source reported. As per details, the facility sits inside a container located at the shore of the port city\u2019s beach and currently hosts a collection of nearly 5,000 books.<\/p>\n

The NGOs that worked on the project had received a book-filled container from the Rotary International in the United States and they turned it into a library. The land was provided by the local district administration.<\/p>\n

The 40×10 container is furnished with bookshelves, racks, and chairs for readers and can accommodate up to 10 people at a time. The library\u2019s collection features books on a variety of subjects like science, technology, law, and literature in English, Urdu, and Balochi.<\/p>\n

The project aims to provide readers with a unique experience and add to attraction of the breath-taking beach at Gwadar on the Makran coastal belt.
