Multan: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Aamir Khattak has directed the departments concerned; including the metropolitan corporation, tehsil councils, municipal committees, and local government institutions to dedicate 1% of their budget allotment to Civil Defence \u2013 a news source reported.<\/p>\n

He issued these directives during a meeting held at his office. He further said that the departments were legally bound to dedicate 1% of their budget to the civil defence under the local government laws. He said the department provided its services during religious events; in addition to facilitating the removal of encroachments and providing security services for VIPs.<\/p>\n
