He further instructed all the contractors to complete the development work of the OLMT project before its scheduled commercial launch.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong>:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/operations-maintenance-contract-granted-for-olmt-project.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Operations, maintenance contract granted for OLMT project<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Punjab Minister for Transport Muhammad Jehanzaib Khan Khichi had inaugurated OLMT\u2019s trial run. Currently, the project\u2019s finishing works are under process apart from testing and systems\u2019 synchronisation \u2013 aimed at making the project safe and efficient.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese engineers working on the project\u2019s testing and commissioning had sought a completion time frame of three months. The metro train is expected to become <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/olmt-project-launch-expected-march-2020.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">functional by March 2020<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read<\/strong>:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/news\/olmt-to-be-inaugurated-on-december-10.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">OLMT to be inaugurated on December 10<\/a><\/p>\n<p>OLMT will be the first line of the Lahore Metro \u2013 Pakistan\u2019s first mass rapid transit train system.
